Bernadette Laxamana

Bernadette has a Bachelors of Commerce major in Economics degree from UST.  She graduated Cum Laude in 1992.  She also completed her MBA from Asia Pacific University in Vancouver in 1998.  She completed her Mortgage Broker diploma from UBC in 2002.

As President & Managing Broker of M&B Mortgage Solutions, Bernadette brings over 18 years experience in the finance industry including previous employment in the Philippines with Asian Bank and Bank of the Philippine Islands, in Vancouver with The Canadian Western Bank as an Account Manager and as a Mortgage Consultant for over 8 years.

As a Feisty Hardworking Achiever she was recently the recipient of the 2010 Overall Business Growth award in Montreal, Quebec out of over 1800 elite mortgage brokers across Canada.  She was recognized as follows, “Bernadette joined us in 2006 and over the past 4 years Bernadette has grown her business with ethics, enthusiasm and proactiveness. Always eager to learn new ideas and self improvement”.

She is  one of the top Mortgage Brokers across Canada and earns top Broker status with several Financial Institutions.  She is also a contributing writer in the Philippine Asian Chronicle (a publication distributed in the Greater Vancouver area) as well as the Filipino Chronicle (a publication distributed in Alberta),  where she writes her Mortgage Insight in Tagalog twice a month.

She sees herself as a Beacon of Power for her People.  She takes great pride in supporting her clients through the entire mortgage process. She is very passionate about educating her clients, giving them the tools and resources they need to feel empowered and make their dreams a reality.

Leo Agra

Leo is an accountant, a licensed Realtor, Mortgage Consultant and Insurance/Investment Advisor.  He brings to the M&B Mortgage Solutions team over 15 years experience in banking operations and over 5 years experience in insurance/investment, real estate, and mortgage industries in Canada.

Leo is governed by strict professional rules and conduct designed to ensure that you will not only get exceptional service but you will also get sincere advise that lasts a lifetime.

While offering a complete package of financial experience and service to his clients, Leo is motivated to get his clients the best mortgage now and helps them decide what is best for their future.

Noel Magtibay

Noel is very excited to join the Verico M&B team of mortgage professionals and start offering mortgage solutions to families wanting to own their own home.

An Accountant by profession with a Masters Degree in Management, Noel combines cross-functional competencies in financial services – accounting, insurance and mutual funds.

In his commitment to provide a more comprehensive and holistic financial service, he recently joined Verico M&B team of mortgage professionals to also offer families solutions to their mortgage needs.

His 12-year management post in a credit union has made him realize that helping families finding solutions to their financial concerns is equally important as managing and developing financial reports and controls using staffing and technology efficiencies.  Since then, he became more and more passionate to help families build wealth and realize their dreams.

Maricel Espejo

Gina Cusi

Gina joins the M&B Mortgage Solutions team as a Registered Mortgage Consultant, bringing with her over 20 years experience in servicing clients with outstanding, professional and personalized customer service.

As a Credit Analyst at the corporate offices of Dreyer’s and Edy’s Grand Ice Cream in the USA, Gina guided and built a rapport with her customers to promote credit worthiness; she ensured company receivables turnover was quick and cash flow improved. Gina uses these skills to guide you in finding the best mortgage that is customized to suit your needs.

Gina has over nine years of experience as an Insurance and Investment/RESP Advisor. She completed a Certified Financial Planning Education Program in 2006 and received her designation as Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) in 2009. Gina’s clients acknowledge and reward her with their trust and loyalty, knowing that their future is in good hands.

As an Account Manager with the M&B Mortgage Solutions Team, Leonor brings over 15 years of experience in the Banking and Finance Industry. At the Metropolitan Bank & Trust Company-the premier universal bank in the Philippines, she set a remarkable track record of consistently achieving and surpassing targets for real estate mortgages.

With innovation and creativity, she establishes and fosters relationships with potential and existing clients, our service provider partners, as well as numerous industries involved in our clients’ mortgage transaction.

She is passionate about extending her guidance to our clients throughout their entire mortgage process and beyond. Leonor’s expertise and friendly, professional approach in response to our clients’ inquires, instil confidence and clarity so that they feel empowered. As well, she takes pride in offering our clients service in Tagalog to further enhance their client experience.

Charen Cusi

As an Account Manager with M&B Mortgage Solutions Team, Charen brings her solid background in mathematics and analysis. She acquired her knowledge and skills from two of the top universities of the Philippines – BSE Math Ed from University of the Philippines-Diliman and Masters of Science in Mathematics Education from Ateneo de Manila University.  This very solid foundation helps Charen in providing excellence in whatever she does.

Over three years in the Canadian insurance and investment industry has made her realize that her role in this world is to help people with their wealth planning.   She is a people person and loves building great relationships with everyone she meets.

Mike joined M&B Mortgage Solutions in 2007 bringing with him over 20 years of Operations and Quality experience.

As a registered mortgage consultant, Mike applies a “hands on” approach to managing and enhancing quality relationships with clients and lenders through process control and continual improvement strategies.
